REVIEW with GIVEAWAY: American Blue Tip Electronic Smokes

I celebrated a pretty big achievement on October 1, 2010. It was my one year anniversary from the day I quit smoking. I didn't publicize it because honestly, it was probably one of the hardest goals I have ever had, and I never knew from day to day if I would fall off the wagon and break down and smoke again. But using the cold turkey method, no other aids, I did it! But I admit, there isn't a day that goes by that I don't think about smoking, and several times throughout each day there are times when I seriously crave a cigarette. I am not proud of that aspect, but I am proud that I have thus far been successful in not giving into my urges and had a tobacco cigarette.

Over the course of the past year I learned about electronic cigarettes or as some call them e-cigarettes. There are several brands out in the marketplace with which to choose from, and finding the brand that offers the level of enjoyment that will fit into your needs, lifestyle and budget can be a confusing shopping experience. I have tried several brands of electronic cigarettes and many of them I would never use again. Either they didn't work, or they taste awful, or they just plain ole didn't provide me with any pleasure, led me to want to review brands that I felt were worthy of being shared on my blog with readers who may perhaps be in the process of quitting smoking, or want an alternative to traditional smoking because you are an ex-smoker like myself.

What drew me initially to the American Blue Tip brand were two factors: first, there is absolutely no nicotine in them. American Blue Tip does not want to replace an addiction by including nicotine in the cartridges, and second, they taste similar to the Marlboro's that I used to smoke! The flavor is a smooth classic tobacco flavor. So if this holiday season you find yourself stressed, having the urge to smoke and you want to quit, or have already quit and don't want to start up again, American Blue Tip's may be the brand for you to give a try. Or, if you know someone who is trying to quit or has already quit, why not consider treating them to American Blue Tip's as a holiday gift! That is precisely why I am including American Blue Tip in my 2010 Holiday Gift Giving Guide.

Now let me introduce this company to you:

CLASSICALLY HIP SMOKES

Who ever thought that smoking would not only be safer but more importantly "cooler." Let’s face it, your "cool" style is the driving force in what you chose to wear this morning. It’s in your shirt. It’s in your shoes. It’s in your jacket. It’s in what you drive. It’s even in where you choose to eat dinner, in what drink you order. Your style is important.

In case you haven’t noticed, smoking is no longer in style. It’s unsafe, unhealthy, and it’s not accepted unless you’re outside and far away from everyone.

American Blue Tip™ has changed all that!
It’s the "new drag" - the healthier drag & safer alternative.

Instead of carrying "a pack of butts," you carry a cool-looking leather "flapper" case, containing a Blue Tip smoke, nicotine-free cartridges and a battery charger.

Instead of igniting matches, a lithium battery ignites the state-of-the-art atomizer.

Instead of burning damaging nicotine & carcinogens, you’re transforming water into “smoke-like” vapor.

Instead of smoking outside, you can now relax inside with all your friends without the dirty looks…unless of course you’ve done something else to deserve it.

You’re classically hip again and a lot smarter and safer!
This new smoke technology is your impact.
The “New Drag,” your distinction.

American Blue Tip, your style!

MY REVIEW

The exceptional staff over at American Blue Tip are just so kind and gracious and most importantly so helpful! As a product review blogger I deal with lots and lots of companies and their customer service staff and American Blue Tip is one of the best I have experienced. They have set the bar high in terms of going above and beyond in order to insure that their customer is satisfied. To me, that is key to the success of any company and they have got what it takes. Bravo to American Blue Tip!

You know what I miss most about traditional smoking? It is that hand to mouth movement, having something to do with my nervous energy ~ I'm not embarrassed to admit it, if I don't have a cigarette in my hand, I reach for food, and I don't want to gain weight and create a whole new addiction! So being able to spend some down time "vaping", the alternative to smoking, is fast becoming my favorite pastime when I want to take a few moments to relax and chill out.

Let me explain how American Blue Tip works, it is easy as 1-2-3, I promise!

How to Use American Blue Tip

First Use:

When you receive your American Blue Tip package, open the leather “Flapper Pack” case. Inside, you will see an American Blue Tip Lithium Battery, Atomizer, 2 flavor cartridges and a USB Charger. For best performance, it is recommended that you charge the battery prior to use.

Charging the Battery:

American Blue Tip comes to you pre-assembled.

To charge:

1. Unscrew the atomizer from the battery by twisting counter-clockwise

2. Screw the battery onto the USB charger, also provided in your leather Flapper Pack.

3. You can charge the battery 2 ways.

• a. Plug the USB charger into your computer USB slot, or,

• b. Plug the USB charger into the travel wall charger that you also received with your American Blue Tip order. You can then plug this into any wall outlet.

4. The blue light will illuminate on the end of the battery. When this blue light turns off, your Amercian Blue Tip is fully charged and ready to use!

Using American Blue Tip:

Once the lithium battery is fully charged, you’re ready to smoke! Re-attach the atomizer onto the lithium battery by screwing on clockwise. Also make sure the flavor cartridge is attached to the atomizer. Now, simply puff on your American Blue Tip as you would a traditional cigarette. The blue light at the end will illuminate with each puff. When the battery gets low, just recharge.

Replacing the Flavor Cartridge:

Each cartridge should contain about 100 puffs. Once your American Blue Tip is no longer producing vapor, it’s probably time for a new cartridge.

1. While holding the battery in one hand, pull the flavor cartridge off of the atomizer with the other hand. Note: It’s easier to take off if the atomizer is screwed into the battery.

2. Check the atomizer for any loose foil. Brush away any debris.
3. Unwrap a new cartridge and remove the white protective rubber stopper

4. Re-attach the new cartridge onto the atomizer by pushing it on firmly, and you’re ready to enjoy!

MY THOUGHTS: For me learning about American Blue Tip and then having the opportunity to use this brand of Electronic Smokes has been a most satisfying experience. I can enjoy the movement and motion of smoking, without the harmful effects that traditional smoking can have on my body. I also am not putting those around me at any risk, which is equally important to me.

I found the system so easy to use without any interruptions to my everyday life. I am able to adequately keep the battery charged, without any fuss or mess. I am super impressed with American Blue Tip and will continue to enjoy "vaping" on a regular basis. Lastly, the customer service folks at American Blue are there for you when you have questions. Initially I had a few, and they were responsive, pleasant, and so helpful in making sure everything was in perfect working order. Without hesitation I highly recommend this brand!
