{From the nuNAAT Website}

The natural ingredients used to make nuNAAT’s products are obtained through ecological processes and sustainable development, which helps to generate income for the local communities and contributes to the forest’s preservation. nuNAAT® works closely with local Amazonian communities and partakes in ecologically friendly production practices, supporting sustainable development.

BRAZILIAN MYSTIQUE

For centuries, Brazil has evoked images of lush tropical forests, exotic women and fun in the sun. A land of special gifts, Brazil has always lived up to its mystique and beauty. Many have wondered what makes Brazil such a magical place, and truth be told, much of its vibrancy and splendor can be attributed to the gorgeous natural surroundings which have delivered life and health to all those that have come into contact with it.

The Amazon region is home to one of the largest and most exuberant tropical forests on earth, extending over 1.6 million square miles and holding 20% of all the fresh water on the planet. Some 70% of all species of flora and fauna existing in the world’s tropical forests live in the Amazon region and represent 23% of the global biodiversity. It is in the interest of Brazil and the world to preserve this natural asset and nuNAAT® does just that by working closely with local Amazonian communities and partaking in ecologically friendly production practices, supporting sustainable development.

In an age where “going natural” is the new big thing, being close to nature has always been a way of life for Brazilians, and nobody knows the secrets of the Amazon like they do. Brazilians have always looked to this rich forest for healing and comfort.

Brazilian women, in particular, have used plants and nuts such as açaí, cupuaçu, buriti, guaraná, and Brazil nuts oils in their beauty routines for as long as they can remember. They’ve used these ingredients to nourish their skin and their hair, never needing to look beyond the Amazon to find what makes them beautiful.

All of these ingredients can be found in nuNAAT’s diverse product line that caters to those seeking the best that nature has to offer.

Bring the riches of the Amazon into your life with nuNAAT®.

Some of my favorite products from the nuNAAT Website are those that can be found in their NATURALS SPA COLLECTION

MY REVIEW

I was sent the Naat Cream Buriti for dyed and discolored hair in a gigantic 17.6 oz jar to review. Here is what the nuNaat Website has to say about this product:

Naat Cream is designed to moisturize your hair from root to tips, leaving your hair soft and shiny. Use in place of daily conditioner or for extra conditioning, after your daily conditioning treatment. For best results, use once or twice a week and apply to wet hair, letting it stand for 5-10 minutes before rinsing.

Formulated with pro-vitamin A (carotenoids), Buriti moisturizes dyed and discolored hair while providing a natural SPF to protect the hair from further damage from the sun.

BURITI

The Buriti palm grows throughout central Brazil. The oil extracted from the pulp has a reddish-orange hue and a fatty-acid composition similar to that of olive oil. It is used in sun care and after-sun care products, anti-aging skin products, hair fortifiers and products for dyed and damaged hair. Its oil is rich in carotenoids and Provitamin A.

MY THOUGHTS:  When you first open the gigantic tub of NaatCream it looks like beautiful strawberry yogurt, only a little thicker.  It has a very slight sweet fragrance, must be what buriti's smell like.  I have color treated and highlighted hair so this product is perfect for me to use on my hair and I am hoping it improves the dry condition that my hair is in from all the chemicals I have used on it.

I have only used the product twice so far.  Both times I applied the product to my wet hair immediately after washing it and left it on while I showered for about 7 minutes.  It rinses out easily, which I was pleased to see since I hate when deep conditioners leave residue on my hair.  Time will tell on how much improvement I see to my hair, but so far it is making my hair feel soft, and I am noticing that it appears silkier after I blow dry it.
