MY REVIEW

The barometer for coolness and hipness broke when it hit the hottest possible level when I saw the amazing BOOTHEEL Trading Co. pieces of clothing the gals selected for me to review. I have been a fan of Sheryl Crow's for decades, idolizing her from afar, her talents as a musician and singer, and her gorgeous sense of style, and all of her contributions to so many causes that she is passionate about. I often tried to find clothes in stores that reminded me of something she would wear because she always looks so hot in everything she wears and I wanted to achieve those same kinds of looks, but in my own unique way. Because I am a jeans kind of gal, I love to wear them but look glamorous and rocker chic in them too, this line immediately caught my eye, and now my heart! So can you imagine how stoked I was when I found out I was going to be able to review some of the clothes from Sheryl's very own BOOTHEEL Trading Co. line! Yea, I was kind of dancing around the house in excitement, of course listening to a Sheryl Crow CD!

Not only will you find the clothes she has designed really fashion forward, stylish with a touch of rocker chic in there, but they are affordable, I mean really, really affordable for the average person's budget. You don't have to be a celebrity or rock star in order to dress and look like one. Also, you don't have to have the perfect body to wear this line of clothing. There are many Bootheel Trading Co. By Sheryl Crow styles to choose from. To make it easier for you to decide which jean to buy, we at Bootheeltradingco.com have separated our women's fits into 2 groups:

WHITE FIT



White fit flatters a woman with feminine, voluptuous, hips enhancing the natural contours of a fuller body type. White fit is high-rise with the waistband hitting at the natural waist.

BLUE FIT



Blue fit flatters a woman with shapely hips, offering a subtle, figure enhancing curve from the hips to the thighs. Blue fit is mid-rise with the waistband hitting just below the natural waist.

What I love most about Sheryl's BOOTHEEL Trading Co. line of clothes is that they have that hint of country girl rocker chick in there. Even though the clothes are clearly stylish and can be worn in the most urban of settings, there is that twinge of relaxed innocence about them, that comfortable feel to their "look" that reminds me of lazy days in the country just enjoying life, that has captured my attention and won me over. So without further ado, here are some of the pieces I was able to see up close and personal and review for you:


FAIRFAX Bootcut Mid Rise Jeans

MY THOUGHTS: My words to describe these jeans, now don't laugh, groovy, a little bit hippie, and totally classic rock n' roll. The particular pair of Fairfax Jeans I received were deliberately and purposefully worn out in the knees and around the bottoms of the jeans. This rather distressed look is so intriguing to me. It represents a woman who loves to live in her jeans, lives life being active and having lots of fun doing all kinds of activities, and isn't particularly concerned with what others think of her. Okay, that is MY perception, or rather how I feel when I put these jeans. A large part of ME can relate to this kind of woman. I am extremely active, I love to engage myself in lots of fun outdoor activities whether it is following my own passions or enjoying activities with my kids and my husband. But I am always in jeans, so these jeans represent ME, slightly ripped and torn, but still looking smokin' hot in spite of the wear and tear.

These jeans fit me slightly higher on the hip line than I generally wear, and slightly higher than the other jeans I reviewed, but I like that look, because it is a comfort feel, no worrying about your tummy showing or your backside sticking out, ohhh, not a good thing, and I loved the lived in, rugged feel that they gave me. I felt like myself in them, kind of like wearing your heart on your sleeve, your jeans say a lot about who you are, and with the holes in the knees and the distressed areas on the jeans seemed to resonate in harmony with how I perceive myself and the way I live my life!

I have washed and worn these jeans a few times, and they are really made well. They are rendered in 99% cotton and 1% spandex so they are really going to hold up their shape nicely. The holes that I mentioned are visible at both knees, but what you don't see on the outside is that on the inside they are patched insuring that no further wear or breakage will occur at the "hole" opening. Sleek move, really cool, love it!

MY THOUGHTS: My words to describe these jeans, sassy, flirty, definitely sexy! These jeans have that hot factor! I mean they are smokin' fierce for sure. I put these on with my 3 inch brown boots that I love and I couldn't wait to go out and strut around town in them. The stitching on the pockets is just enough to add some spice to the style, and the placement of the pockets and where they sit on my "butt" is perfect, the pockets lay exactly in the right spot. I feel these jeans fit me like a glove, and that is key in feeling confident and carefree in your jeans. As someone who is used used to wearing lower rise jeans, which I generally prefer, I think I have a new affection for the place where these jeans fall on me. They are a mid-rise jean but they fall far enough away from let's say my belly button that I feel sexy and flirty in them. They fall at a place that makes me want to move my hips freely, but not too low that I am going to be self-conscious about my stomach showing or my shirt riding up too much and my backside being exposed. With this style, Sheryl hit the nail right on, the rise is at the perfect place.

BTW - I should mention that I received all 3 pairs of jeans in the 32 Length. I am 5 feet 7 inches tall, but not legs are not long, my length is more in my torso, so what a relief it was to receive jeans that were not so long that I am tripping on my own two feet, or feel the need to wear 4 inch heels with them. I would say in spite of my tall height, I am of average leg length so being able to opt for 32 inch length is wonderful!

MY THOUGHTS: My words to describe these jeans, Hot, Hip, Sexy, Distinctive. The website says that the mid-rise jeans are designed to "Balance out hips and are especially flattering for customers who desire to minimize their appearance in the hip and thigh region." I am a Size 29, or generally a Size 6 and although I don't have a hip issue, I found these jeans were the most flattering style of the 3 jeans I reviewed. I love all 3 jeans but these were my favorites, the ones I felt looked the best on me. These jeans hit me in all the right places. There is some really striking stitching on the backside pockets and some subtle stitching on the front side slit pockets, just enough to add some spunk and pizzazz to this classic style bootleg jean. I love all the simple elements to its design that make it work for me. These are my new favorite "go to" jeans and I can wait to make them so worn out that they show the good times, active journeys, and roads that my life has taken me. They will transcend time and last me through many of my hopes and dreams as I work to achieve them.

MY THOUGHTS: One of my contacts at BOOTHEEL Trading Co. said this was one of her personal favorites and I have to say I totally agree, utterly and totally the best vest! I thought it was leather, they sure did fool me! I bet within a couple of months, I will have worn every single one of my favorite tees under this darling vest! It is meticulously made, rendered in the softest of materials, and just has that hip sleek, slightly edgy look to it. It can be worn of course with almost any pair of jeans, but it can also work nicely with a cute little tee or tank style dress or an adorable little mini skirt. You can use this striking vest as a separate with any number of different types of outfits to add that element of cool to it.

MY THOUGHTS: Isn't this just the prettiest top? I received it in the dusty rose color and oh my goodness, so sweet! To feel the material in your hands is unbelievable. It is so soft and silky feeling, a top that is not only super cute and feminine, but also feels like a dream against your skin. This top is a little more dressy than a traditional tee, that's what I love about it. It is an elegant top that will be that versatile piece you can use when you want to spice up your normal casual look a notch or two. Wear it with jeans, wear it with a pair of capris or a cute skirt, or pair it with a dressy pair of slacks. It will transform and fit in nicely with all kinds of items that you already have in your wardrobe.

MY THOUGHTS: Yes indeed, another delightful piece which I received in black. I tried to capture a close up of the design, it is just splendid! A really detailed, intricate design that is so unique and will capture the attention of those around you. I love really neat looking tees, tops that are extraordinary and are compelling to look at. This most certainly fits that description. Any tee that symbolizes some form of Love is halfway there to capturing my heart. This one has in spades because the fit is impeccable, not too big, nor too tight, and the material is super soft, a joy to wear against your skin. A very couture rock looking design that will be so easy to pair with short all summer long, or on those colder days and night, my Kennett jeans, oh yes!

MY THOUGHTS: Talk about one free flowing, easy breezy piece! I received this in the luscious Vanilla color, and truly a fun, elegant, dreamy top to add some noticeable movement to your outfit.
