Meet Kimberly Cayce!!


KALYX Technologies was founded in Venice, California.

A former NCAA-ALL American and All-ACC Team Member at Duke University, KALYX founder Kimberly Cayce competed on tours around the world as a professional golfer for 5 years. Throughout her athletic career, Cayce became increasingly frustrated by the lack of attractive, comfortable and supportive sports bras in the marketplace.

Cayce spent 3+ years researching breast bio-mechanics, studying the latest innovations in intimate apparel manufacturing, and, working closely with a team of textile developers in order to better understand emerging trends in nanotechnology and environmentally-friendly fabrics.

While pursuing her MBA at UCLA's Anderson School of Management, Cayce focused on entrepreneurship and brand management. This seasoned entrepreneur was awarded the prestigious 2007 Wolfen Entrepreneurial Spirit Award by UCLA's Howard and Pauline Price Center for Entrepreneurship. This fellowship helped Kimberly build the foundation for the company that is KALYX today.

There are a lot of sports bras to choose from these days and not all bras are created equal. It can be a difficult decision. Compression Bras smash the breasts against the chest creating the dreaded Uni-Boob. Encapsulation Bras rely on irritating under-wires to separate the breasts...OUCH! MY REVIEW

I have two main athletic passions in my life, Yoga and Jogging. I have a busy lifestyle, but I make the time everyday to go through my Yoga Routine and 4-5 days a week I get my jogging in. I have incorporated both of these activities into my life so I don't really consider them my workout, I think of them as my lifestyle, I want to do them, I enjoy doing them, and I look forward to them. I cannot imagine not doing my Yoga routine every morning. It is what jump starts my day, keeps me mentally and spiritually grounded and of course in great shape. The jogging is more for my cardio exercise. It is a little harder for me to get motivated to go out and get my runs in because lately the winter weather has not been cooperating and I just don't want to be out in the elements. But I know how great I feel when I am running, and how rejuvenatedand satisfied I feel when I accomplish my running goals, so I stay on track with it. It is now going to be even more of a pleasure to go through both routines because of my new KALYX sport bras. I had the opportunity review two different styles, each one enabling me to perform my routines much more effectively and with such an increased comfort level. Here are two styles that worked their magic for me:

MY THOUGHTS: I can see why they call this the "Hollywood All-Star Bra"! It most certainly is oscar worthy to me! I received the bra in the color Black. The style is exceptionally striking, the material feels dreamy against your skin, and it is just meticulously crafted. It is so easy to put on, it has a dynamic front clasp that also serves as a decorative embellishment, at least in my eyes! And once you have this sport bra on you forget it is there, it is that comfortable! I wore this bra while I did my entire Yoga routine and then I kept it on for the remainder of the day while I did chores around the house and ran several errands. It felt amazing! It served its purpose as far as providing me with wonderful support, but I also felt really positive and confident about myself because I knew that under my shirt I was wearing this glorious new sports bra that I knew made me look as good as I felt. The design is ultra cute, very sexy and flirty for a sports bra, don't you think!

I love the tag that was attached to the bra. Here is what it said: "Bliss Out...... Every so often a woman needs to slow down and take some time for herself. Time to reconnect with her inner goddess, reflect, relax and breathe.

MY THOUGHTS: This is a sports bra that is super woman worthy! It is just the most dynamic sports bra I have ever had the pleasure of wearing! I received it in the stunning Pacific color which is just such a splendid color to wear. I immediately knew when I took the sports bra out of its packaging that this was going to be beyond perfect for me to wear when I jog. The design is spectacular, with so much attention to detail in the way it is constructed with such a level of excellence. There is support in all the needed places and I could not wait to try it out.

This past week has been just horrible in terms of winter weather, lots of snow and really bad conditions for trying to jog. So my "normal" routine has been considerably shortened. I have only been running the length of our lake community stretch which is about a mile and a half. But that was enough of a run that I was able to really get a sense of how magnificent this sports bra is! I can see why they call it "KICKSTART" and use the word "Extreme" to describe it. It will protect your assets like no other bra I have worn, they don't move, shake, or jiggle {smile} and when you are running, that is a good thing!! I only wish the world could see it on me, because it is divine, it encompasses all the elements you could wish for in a sports bra and it is darling to look at too!

This bra also had the coolest tag attached to it, and again an inspiration message. It says: "Betty Rides.....You know who you are: a woman who is not afraid to fall. Wear this KALYX Extreme Sports Bra and take a walk on the wild side. Shred the trails, hit the half pipe, race at Loretta's, free climb El Cap, base jump Perrine Bridge. Don't worry about the wipeouts, KALYX has you covered". I do believe this fascinating sports bra will keep you protected and supported through all these activities or whatever extreme activity you dream of one day tackling!
