It is no secret that I think the world of the very chic clothing and accessories offered at DownEast Basics. I have reviewed their products before and I am always thrilled with the fabulous styles of clothes and accessories that they offer. Each season DownEast Basics adds gorgeous new clothes and accessories to their website and the exceptional and so reasonable pricing is why I keep wanting to come back. I think this Spring 2010 Season DownEast Basics has really outdone themselves because the items for Spring are spectacular! Each new item is bright and cheerful and so pretty and feminine for Spring and Summer and at the prices they are being offered for, you can really add some spark and pizzazz to your wardrobe without even making a dent in your wallet. MY REVIEW

As always the wonderful folks at DownEast Basics generously allowed me to select a few items from their New Spring 2010 collection to review. The new clothes and accessories have such a fun, flirty, resort-like feel to them that makes me optimistic and excited about warm, sunny happy go lucky days to come! As I glanced through the new items for Spring & Summer over and over again, I had the hardest time deciding what to review because everything just "popped" out at me with all the glorious colors, patterns and styles that I just couldn't decide. In the end, these are the two adorable items I chose:

The Really Regal Skirt

MY THOUGHTS:  If you like classic style clothes with a modern twist that are going to make you look sophisticated but also really fashion forward, then look no further because this is the hottest skirt!  The Really Regal Skirt is just darling, with its splendid rich design embellishing the body of the skirt.  The skirt is lightweight, in spite of its very fine lining and is perfect to wear for Spring and throughout the Summer months.  It is perfectly rendered, and I am so impressed with every aspect about it.  I chose the sweater below to pair with it, and although the picture of the sweater is shown in Pink, I received the cardigan in the color White.  I think with this skirt you can easily mix and match a variety of colors to wear for a top/blouse/sweater.  In addition to white, the colors yellow, turquoise, beige, peach or pink, light blue, rust would look excellent with it.

The Frosted Flower Cardigan Sweater

MY THOUGHTS:  I received this adorable sweater in the color White and it is so darn cute!  It is made of the highest quality and there is so much attention to detail in its design, I can't wait to wear it with the Really Regal Skirt as well as so many of my other Spring and Summer Separates.  What a dynamic addition to my wardrobe that is going to be so versatile!  I love the medium weight gauge of the knit cotton, and because it is rendered in cotton it is going to be so easy to care for!  There are hundreds of little flower petals decorating the front of the sweater with teeny tiny little pearls in the center of each one.  Such a flirty sweater that will transcend time season after season.
