MY REVIEW

I received the fabulous Hana Professional Pink Edition Professional 1" Flat Iron from Misikko.com for the review. I had been wanting a high end, fine quality ceramic flat iron for the longest time, and this one from Misikko.com is just about as fine in quality that you can find out in the marketplace today. Please Note:
LED indicator light remains steady when iron is heating up and will blink when desired temperature is reached. If the light is off but the switch is set to On, the iron is decreasing temperature to a lower setting.

MY THOUGHTS: Typically products for review come to me in a box. And typically that is a normal experience that I don't take the time to mention. But, the awesome folks at Misikko deliberately went so much out of their way to make sure that my experience with receiving this product was truly memorable and special, it most certainly warrants my mentioning it! I opened the box to see 3 beautiful silk white roses. One long stem rose and 2 rose heads beautifully decorating the contents in the box. In addition to the Hana Professional Pink Edition 1" Flat Iron, they included a bottle of the Hana Shine Shield (which is an advanced lightweight leave-in treatment that will work to strengthen and protect my hair when I am using this flat iron). There was also a heat resistant large black mat to use to keep my hot iron on when I am styling my hair and a large felted black Misikko storage pouch that had this big wide white satin bow wrapped around it! There was also a white satin pouch and in it were 3 nail files and some Vanilla Scented Hand Sanitizer. Wow, talk about a lovely presentation which FAR EXCEEDED my expectations!!

And there is more, yes indeed! There was a letter in an envelope that stated that from February 4th with every Hana appliance order a PERSONAL CHECK for the owner of Hana Salons for $25.00 will be included which is not made out to any individual or organization. It is check that is to serve in the "Spirit of Giving" and may be used to "Help" a Haitian Relief Charity of my choice. A stamped envelope was also included to use to send the check as well as a list of possible charities with which to select from. I am choosing to use the $25 check for the American Red Cross. This truly generous act of kindness on the part of Hana Salons is wonderful and a very special thank you to Stephen for his extreme kindness!!

Okay, with having said that, let's move on to my experience using this fantastic flat iron!

Initially I wanted a flat iron so I could make my long thick, unruly hair that tends to also be frizzy super straight and sleek looking. But as I play around with this flat iron, like a child with a new toy, I am realizing all the different ways I can use it to style my hair, ways I had never considered before! I have only had this a few days, and I have washed my hair both days so I could test it out. The flat iron is light weight and very flexible in terms of size in my hands. I tend to be sort of clumsy and in the past have had trouble using some styling appliances, but this one so far has been a breeze!

It heats up super fast, and also works to style your hair lightening fast too. That is a good thing because I do everything in a hurry and this flat iron definitely fits into my lifestyle perfectly. So the first day using this I set everything up on the bathroom counter, and I must say I felt very professional with my cooling mat, Shine Shield, and Professional Flat Iron sitting in front of me. I decided to see just how straight and frizz free I could make my hair. It didn't take me half as long as I thought it would, I had my hair looking so straight and really rather chic in about 15 minutes. It took me some extra time to work with all the layers. I suspect I will get that time down to 10 minutes when I become more seasoned at this.

Then today I decided to use the flat iron to make some curls. My hair look a little wild because I used the flat iron to make flipped out curls, flipped in curls and soft curls, because I wanted to see the effect each curling technique had with my hair. I can't believe what striking results I had with so little effort. To think of the time I used to spend using electric rollers to create these same effects makes me laugh now!

I cannot wait to experiment and explore each and every time I style my hair with all the different types of styles and looks I can create for myself with this one exceptional flat iron!!

BTW - The Hana Professional Limited Edition Pink 1" Flat Iron comes packaged in a terrific long black tin with lid and inside it comes stored in a thick textured vinyl Hana pouch! Such a fine example of excellence!
